Yes, counselling is confidential. There are some legal exceptions, such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or concerns about abuse involving a child or vulnerable person, which must be reported under law.
Most standard therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes. Longer sessions of 100 minutes are also available when clinically appropriate or requested, such as for couples therapy or more in-depth work.
Most clients start with weekly or biweekly sessions. Over time, frequency can be adjusted based on your goals and progress.

What issues do you support in therapy?
The standard fee for a 50-minute counselling session is $185. Fees may vary depending on the type or length of service (such as extended sessions or couples therapy), and rates are subject to change over time. Current fees will always be confirmed at the time of booking.
Many insurance and benefits plans cover counselling services provided by registered social workers or psychotherapists. Coverage depends on your individual provider and plan.
That’s completely okay. Many clients are new to therapy. Sessions are designed to be supportive, collaborative, and paced to your comfort level.
